Blackbaud Releases Student Information System

Charleston, SC (Vocus) May 29, 2007 -- Blackbaud, Inc. (NASDAQ: BLKB), today unveiled Blackbaud's Student Information System™, a component of its integrated campus management solution designed to meet the needs of small higher education institutions. Among early adopters of the solution are Ursinus College, Providence College and Seminary, Piedmont Baptist College, and Western Theological Seminary.

"We needed a solution that was robust and easy to use so we could improve the quality of services to our 1600 students and communicate in the best, most efficient way possible," said John P. King, Chief Information Officer of Ursinus College, an independent liberal arts college in Pennsylvania. "We chose to partner with Blackbaud because it has defined and served its niche very well, and has a track record of meeting the needs of the independent sector."

The College will also work with Blackbaud Interactive, the company's Internet strategy and services team, to complete a redesign of the school's Web site. Staff and faculty will use the Web component of the solution to tailor their communications with students, alumni, donors, and prospective students based on their interests and needs and better target their marketing messages. "Our Web site is crucial to meeting the needs of our students on campus and presenting ourselves to the larger public," said King. "We want to draw students in, capture their interest, and keep them coming back."

Blackbaud's Total Campus Solution was designed specifically for smaller institutions to help them effectively manage every aspect of campus administration and student information.
