New Book Explores Meaning of Life Through Casual Interviews with Ordinary People
Irvine, CA (PRWEB) November 26, 2007 -- Minutes after losing her job, Louise Lewis sat in the boarding area of a California airport and began to panic. Weak and vulnerable, she asked God for guidance, and she says his reply was, "This is just another chapter in your life. You hold the pen, I'll guide your hand, and together we'll write one hell of a chapter."
Lewis' resulting spiritual journey and search for a life of new meaning is chronicled in her new inspirational book, "No Experts Needed: The Meaning of Life According to You!" (ISBN 9780595429714, iUniverse, Inc., 2007).
Lewis believes the only way to find the answers one seeks during life's rough patches is to look inside to begin the search for truth, because no earthly expert will be able to provide the solution. After losing her job, Lewis felt as if she'd also lost any control she had over her life, and the only thing left for her to do was surrender to God and ask for his help. "I think that anytime we truly hand our life over to God, we are in for one hell of a journey," Lewis says.
"No Experts Needed" urges readers to look for the positive opportunities hidden beneath life's traumas. In Lewis' case, losing her job was just what she needed to make constructive changes. Once she began this new chapter of life, Lewis started asking others she met, "What is the meaning of life?" The heartfelt answers people gave, based on their own experiences and hardships, are shared in "No Experts Needed," so readers can develop their own answers to the ultimate question.
Lewis sought out a variety of people from all faiths and walks of life to provide insight for her book. Filled with encouraging and thought-provoking stories, "No Experts Needed" demonstrates how the simple act of listening to Spirit and to the person sitting next to you can add meaning to every moment of daily life.
