Xmas Keyboard Sales to Pass 400,000 -- New Book Can Teach Them to Play in Minutes

New York, NY (PRWEB) December 13, 2007 -- An estimated 400,000 keyboard instruments will be sold this holiday season according to industry figures and one patented, breakthrough piano instruction book can teach all those new owners to play songs by Christmas morning.

Riding the tide of the resurgence in piano popularity, "The Rockmaster System by Winston Harrison is proving to be a hot stocking stuffer this year. The new $14.95 book uses a simple method so unique it was given a U.S. patent and approved by the New York City School System as a text book.

Already 31% of Americans play piano, according to the latest figures from the National Assoc. of Music Merchants, more than guitar and bass (28%). "I want to teach the rest of America to play," said Harrison. "From new students to their families, anyone can play songs in minutes with the Rockmaster System."

That's relevant as the fastest growing segment of music makers is not school kids, but adults between the ages of 18 and 34, and 40% of U.S. households have two or more musicians, according to a Gallup Poll.

All told, more than 1.7 million keyboard instruments will be sold in the U.S. this year including the 400,000 this Christmas season. Based on figures from NAMM, that includes 1.4 million portable keyboards, 250,000 acoustic (including Grand, Upright and advanced Digital) and 85,000 electronic keyboard instruments.

The acclaimed piano-in-minutes instruction book "The Rockmaster System" will be released nationally for the first time after a year of use in the toughest proving ground possible, the New York City School System. Studies by McGill research have shown that with piano instruction, third and fourth graders showed increased self-esteem, cognitive abilities and academic achievement.

With an extensive media campaign for the holidays that includes national TV advertising and retail exposure in America's largest chain stores, this revolutionary new book is destined to change the lives of beginner piano enthusiasts and their families.

Using simple visual cues and the instinctive way the brain thinks rather than just repetition, "The RockMaster System: Rock Oriented Chords to the Keyboard" from Dellwin Publishing is the simplest, fastest way to learn rock-style keyboards.

Most students still toil over scales, theory and technique in much the same way as their great-grandparents before them. The system was born of necessity for Harrison. He plays guitar and needed to work out some chord progressions on the keyboard - and an easy way to remember them. The former computer programmer also understood how simple visual references are needed to access the underlying mathematical logic used by both piano and computer. "It is a music formula based on changing chords, you only need to know the first chord, then it is just moving one or two fingers up or down as instructed. You don't need to know the notes, it gives you an 'image' of the chords."
