K. Lynch, a medical doctor, was inspired by the beauty of his fiancée to write The Million Dollar Therapist. Although names and events have been altered, the book is based upon a true story, and the real-life Carol Lindsey remains in practice in the South Atlantic. Lynch draws heavily on his occupation in the novel, bringing us inside a modern hospital during Carol's younger years for an intense peek only a doctor could give. He is currently taking a break from private practice to concentrate on writing.
