New Local Author Hits Philly Book Scene
PHILADELPHIA, PA (PRWEB) November 14, 2006 -- A new local author has appeared on the Philadelphia, PA book scene. She has been writing quietly for over 10 years and now has taken those stories to the next level and decided to put them out there to the public. Being a member of the gay community inspired these stories.
Mary Battle has written a number of fan-based fictional stories over the years, but has turned to stories from within her own community as a basis for tales of love. These love stories of lesbians are contained inside "Stories of Love from the City of Brotherly Love" in conjunction with Lulu (www.lulu.com), the world's fastest-growing provider of print-on-demand books.
"Stories of Love from the City of Brotherly Love" is her first group of short stories about the love women have for other women. She is working on several other stories, including some within the science fiction/fantasy genre. This is her first published book and hopes it is a first step in a long line of stories.
